The Valencian painter Juan Francés was born in Xàtiva, land of big artists. Here the great painter José de Ribera « El Españoleto » was born.
An artist who renders a noble worship to freedom and independence. In his beginnings he belonged to the Artistic Movement of the Mediterranean and Current Art of Valencia, but little by little he
kept retreating from groups and influences that could influence his artistic requirements. He experienced abstraction, which contributed and facilitated chromatic, harmonic and aesthetic
contributions to his work.
Great fan of music, at an early age he learned violin and piano which together with reading, fills his spaces of leisure. For this reason he has dedicated an important part of his work to music and
its interpreters, with works where aesthetics and the expression imposes themselves.
Part of his extensive work can be found in the Museum of Contemporary Art of Madrid, and in different cities like Frankfurt, Hamburg, Sao Paulo, Paris, Washington, Barcelona, New York, etc.
In words of the own artist:
" What I try is to transmit sensations across the vibrations of the colour. I do not reflect the world such as one sees it, but such as I feel it ". " Painting has to transmit, to move and to be
humanly understandable ". " The daily objects must be something more than the primary image ".
A life dedicated to painting, a painting that portrays the feelings of the artist's whole life.
